What does a body painting commission involve?

  • An initial consultation to discuss ideas for your design.
  • A day for the body painting and photographic shoot.
  • A selection of photographs from a personalised web page.
  • A minimum of two 10"x8" prints & four 7"x5" images of your choice.

When is the best time to be painted?

The bigger your bump the greater the impact. Depending on how you are feeling, eight months onwards is recommended.

Are the paints harmful to myself or my baby?

The paints are water based consisting of 2 elements - pigment and glycerine. There are no harmful chemicals and no side effects from using them. They are not used for any other purpose than to paint the skin and are solely purchased from make-up outlets. All make-up used is not tested on animals.

How does the paint come off?

The paint is water based and washes off very easily in a shower.

How long will the day be?

It is important to make yourself available for the whole day. We would usually start painting at10am and complete the photo shoot by 3pm, leaving enough time to wash off all the paint. Lunch, snacks and drinks are included throughout the day.

Will I be able to move about?

It's very relaxed. You can be painted in any position that is most comfortable for you.

Who takes the photographs?

I work with both male and female photographers who are highly experienced in the fashion and beauty industry.
