'One may wonder why a woman who is eight months pregnant would choose to travel across the Atlantic with her husband and eighteen-month old daughter in tow! Well, I did just that because I was inspired by the work of Julia Francis as seen on her Embody website.
I found the ultimate way to celebrate my pregnancy! I have always regarded body painting as a beautiful and original form of art. Being the subject of pregnant body art creates a memory to last a lifetime. I did not want just anybody to do this. Julia is the only person who specializes in body painting and photography of pregnant women and whose gorgeous work is timeless.
The experience exceeded my expectations. The day was all about me! Julia makes the day both fun and relaxing. The project was done very professionally and Julia is a perfectionist. At the end of the session I felt like a beautiful, goddess-mother to be!
The experience turned out to be an amazing holiday for our family. We experienced the wonderful coastal city of Brighton, a part of England known for its sunshine, mild climate, and relaxed mood. Now I have amazing images that will forever celebrate my beautiful pregnant form. Julia’s work will be cherished in my family for generations.'

'Thank you Julia for that unique experience of being painted by your expert hands! It made me proud of my rounded body, aware of all those beautiful curves that pregnancy brings along - the perfect picture to proudly reveal those intimate lines. Great setting, gentle atmosphere, professional approach, personal designs, stunning colours... it really felt like a real treat when all revolves around you and your bump.
The timing was perfect...the last shots done...the paint nostalgically removed. The mood was set...my contractions started that same evening. Anouk Awen was born safely at home the next day and now I have the most precious photograph of my last day of pregnancy! Thank you again for that forever memorable experience.'

'It was so wonderful to have a day dedicated to me, just before the birth. I loved seeing my body change before my eyes from a beautiful pregnant bump into a living canvas. The photo is framed in Emily's bedroom and I love to look at it. It is a celebration of a wonderful, miraculous happening in my life. I treasured every second of my pregnancy and the photo helps me to re-live some of the feelings'

'It seemed an ideal way to celebrate my pregnant body and the life growing inside me. The process of being painted was amazing - alternately very relaxing and deeply focusing. I highly recommend this to all women who fancy a boost in body image during their pregnancies and wish to celebrate the beauty and creativity of their pregnant bodies'.

'Wonderful experience to be naked outside under the sky by the beach pregnant with my sacred one with a bird painted on my bump coming out of a swirling rainbow of colours with light white feathers. Thankyou...sums up how much I loved being pregnant natural and free.'
